Somehow it's July already which means we're half way through 2019! It's been a fantastic start to the year, with a host of new volunteers, installation of air-con in our main shed, healthy support from our suppliers and partners, and not to mention the new mini Kew Gardens we've potted up.
Amazingly, we've somehow managed to redistribute 12 tonnes of food this year - that's a tonne every eight hours we're open. Its also brought our running total to a whopping 17.5 tonnes since we opened last September.
The next half of this year will see us replacing the cleaning shed, hosting a volunteer cream tea in September in celebration of our one year opening and planning for the future.
Thank you to everyone involved in keeping our project running and supporting Chesham's community.
We're of course, always on the hunt for new volunteers - even if you don't fit in with our current rota there are plenty of other ways you can help out. If you'd like to get involved, email us at [email protected] and pop in and have a chat with one of our volunteers.
